Matthew Whatley brings over 10 years of a digital and social media strategy to Ogilvy Public Relations. As Vice President of Digital Strategy, Matthew has managed social and digital media campaigns for global brands in both private and public sectors that integrate creative communications and marketing solutions tailored for unique audiences.
Matthew has been responsible for driving the strategic direction of digital and social media campaigns for clients in the energy, technology, health, automotive and federal government industries that leverage cutting edge technologies to deliver impact for our clients.
Prior to joining Ogilvy, Matthew served as a Social Media Strategist for the US Department of State within the Office of Innovative Engagement. There, he supported and trained US Embassies and Consulates all over the world on social media engagement to foreign audiences. Matthew holds a bachelor’s degree in Advertising from George Mason University and a master’s degree in Instructional Design from George Mason University.
