As a Senior Vice President in Ogilvy Washington’s Social@Ogilvy practice, Michael oversees internal Web and application development and collaborates with all technical partners. He has over twelve years of experience pairing front-end design with back-end development to create robust, efficient and user-friendly Websites and applications. Michael has extensive experience in a broad spectrum of areas including content management systems, blogs, Web 2.0 social-media applications, RSS aggregators, and database-driven Websites. Michael consults with clients and end-users on information and system architecture, process flow, asset management, and technology utilization.

Some of the Ogilvy clients that Michael has worked with include: IBM, BP, Ford, DuPont, Time Warner Cable, National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the Internal Revenue Service, BlueCross BlueShield, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Federal Emergency Management Agency, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute, and the National Kidney Disease Education Program.

Recently, Michael managed the technical implementation of the IRS e-file and Free File campaign microsite over the past three years including the addition of the mobile optimized experience this year. Over the past five years, Michael has lead Ogilvy’s technical team through major updates to the BlueCross BlueShield FEPBlue.org Website, including implementing redesigns, moving the site to a Content Management System, and future upgrade to a mobile optimized user experience. Michael has also recently led the development of Facebook applications for BP and Mexico.

Michael comes to Ogilvy from agencies in Washington DC and Chicago where he developed creative technical solutions for a wide variety of clients.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Arts – Radio-TV-Film from University of Wisconsin-Madison and certification in Web Application Development from Marquette University.
