ABOUT US: Social@Ogilvy New York is seeking a leader than can develop an integrated global social media strategy, oversee a staff of junior and mid-level direct reports, and - most importantly - collaborate with creative teams in developing big ideas.  This position is responsible for aligning creative concepts with strategy, managing a team of Social@Ogilvy strategists, and working closely with account teams in delivering excellent work.

THE ROLE:
  • Serve as a seasoned, strategic, innovative and dynamic leader who can deliver unique and visionary ideas that they help bring to life

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work closely Creative Directors, Account Teams and with clients on the development of strategies and the integration of social into existing programs
  • Direct teams to employ a variety of research techniques to understand and analyze data and provide insight.
  • Lead the creation of social media strategies built on the shoulders of research and an understanding the client’s business goals
  • Manage execution of social media campaigns
  • Develop measurement and KPIs while overseeing the preparation of reports summarizing these results from social media campaigns & ongoing programs
  • Contribute to developing the talents of your team members and direct reports
  • Contribute to Social@ blog and other thought leadership efforts in the social media space


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 8+ years of relevant work experience in the social media and digital communications space
  • Portfolio is required for consideration (can submit in any form)
  • Passion for all things digital
  • Proven success in managing client campaigns in social
  • Consistently demonstrated the ability to build strong, collaborative relationships internally and with the client
  • Experienced in measuring the success of social programs using listening and analytics tools

THE ROLE:

Are you the ad-world’s next social media & graphics all-star? Social@Ogilvy is seeking an intern with an ear for the catchy, an eye for the original and a passion for all things digital.  This is your chance to both build upon and utilize your experience in executing social media for global consumer brands. Bring your ideas to the table and develop a fresh-take on social media strategy alongside the elites of advertisement. Our intern will command all the necessary skills within the social discipline, along with the ability to build and maintain international relationships both internally and externally.  An ideal candidate must be a brand champion, an agency facilitator, and an opportunist that helps grow the business.  In addition, exhibits strength in project management, scope management, risk management and team management.

Interns receive real, valuable hands-on experience to develop their production and communication skills – particularly as it relates to content creation and video production. Internships here go beyond making copies for the teams - good communication and production skills will be developed. We’re looking for a self-starter that takes initiative and can manage projects from day one (okay, maybe day two).

DAY TO DAY:

  • Assist Social team with both internal and external editing projects
  • Designing & creating content using Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop  (social content)
  • Understanding of simple video editing tools like iMovie
  • Participate in meeting and brainstorm with account teams in order to develop ideas for social media and visual content creation to support programs and campaigns
  • Work closely with the global Social@Ogilvy team on the development & execution of social media programs and strategies


REQUIREMENTS:


  • Experience designing & creating content using Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop  (social content)
  • Completed (or final year of studies) BA in Marketing, Communications or BFA in Design or film preferred (or significant equivalent experience);
  • Passionate, knowledgeable about Social Media platforms and communities, visual storytelling, ability to multi-task, eager to learn and not afraid to speak up and be resourceful;

This person will work closely with the Social Content Director as well as creative team members and account teams, and will be responsible for creating content as well as identifying appropriate content types, topics, tone and timing for each social platform.  In this role you will need to evaluate appropriate tone for each channel while maintaining the client's strong branding and tone of voice.

Responsibilities:

  •   Create and execute on-going content for clients
