ABOUT US: Social@Ogilvy New York is seeking a leader than can develop an integrated global social media strategy, oversee a staff of junior and mid-level direct reports, and - most importantly - collaborate with creative teams in developing big ideas.  This position is responsible for aligning creative concepts with strategy, managing a team of Social@Ogilvy strategists, and working closely with account teams in delivering excellent work.

THE ROLE:
  • Serve as a seasoned, strategic, innovative and dynamic leader who can deliver unique and visionary ideas that they help bring to life
  • Lead and drive social media strategy, programming and execution, including strategy development, program conception and execution, and measurement of social programs
  • While Integrate social media strategies across all aspects of paid, owned and earned media by working in partnership with Creative, Planning, Strategy, and Account Teams
  • Bring innovative thinking into the advertising and brand work that is linked seamlessly with advertising, events, digital, mobile, outdoor and more channels
  • Have a deep understanding of the various platforms within social media (first-hand experience a must)
  • Be experienced in managing influencer outreach
  • Have a passion for delivering new ground breaking ideas that bring branding, social and mobile together and have a track record of doing breakthrough work
  • Possess strong communications skill (written and presentation) able to work within the Agency and with the clients
  • Great story teller with a history of client wins either new or within existing business

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work closely Creative Directors, Account Teams and with clients on the development of strategies and the integration of social into existing programs
  • Direct teams to employ a variety of research techniques to understand and analyze data and provide insight.
  • Lead the creation of social media strategies built on the shoulders of research and an understanding the client’s business goals
  • Manage execution of social media campaigns
  • Develop measurement and KPIs while overseeing the preparation of reports summarizing these results from social media campaigns & ongoing programs
  • Contribute to developing the talents of your team members and direct reports
  • Contribute to Social@ blog and other thought leadership efforts in the social media space


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 8+ years of relevant work experience in the social media and digital communications space
  • Portfolio is required for consideration (can submit in any form)
  • Passion for all things digital
  • Proven success in managing client campaigns in social
  • Consistently demonstrated the ability to build strong, collaborative relationships internally and with the client
  • Experienced in measuring the success of social programs using listening and analytics tools
  • Proven success in creating and managing a social media discipline within an agency or business.

Social@Ogilvy is seeking a Senior Social Media Community Manager who gets the paid, owned, and earned space (not in that order). We are looking for a strategic mind that can be creative.

This Senior Social Media Community Manager must have all of the necessary skills within the social discipline, along with the ability to build and maintain international relationships both internally and externally. An ideal candidate must be a brand champion, an agency facilitator, and an opportunist that grows our business.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee communications strategy across all Ogilvy Worldwide social media platforms, including daily content and community management of key social and web platforms, including the Ogilvy website, blog, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Slideshare and Instagram.
  • Work with senior Ogilvy leadership to ensure the communications strategy aligns to Corporate Ogilvy business priorities and objectives.
  • Optimize the social media strategy on an ongoing basis, including researching and launching new social media channels when relevant to help Ogilvy stay at the forefront of social media.

  • Assist in real time content creation from conferences, and brief appropriate team members to create content.
  • Run internal campaigns and promotions to encourage participation on social media initiatives (i.e. sharing images, writing blog posts, etc.)
  • Foster key partnerships with influencers and brands (i.e. BuzzFeed) in social media space to help position Ogilvy as a thought leader.
  • Ad-hoc assistance in community management and internal agency adoption of the highly engaged internal knowledge management system.
  • Ad-hoc support a weekly internal social media webinar training program, for example, by writing email invitations and brainstorming guest speakers.

The candidate must have a proven track record for producing real results. We are looking for someone who can manage a wide range of tasks with respect to creative and editorial deliverables in digital/social space on a daily basis.

This person will work closely with the Social Content Director as well as creative team members and account teams, and will be responsible for creating content as well as identifying appropriate content types, topics, tone and timing for each social platform.  In this role you will need to evaluate appropriate tone for each channel while maintaining the client's strong branding and tone of voice.

Responsibilities:

  •   Create and execute on-going content for clients
  • Day-to-day management of key social web platforms – Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Tumblr, Pinterest, Slideshare, etc
  • Ensure content maps to messaging pillars through a firm understanding of how to maximize engagement and share of voice
  • Work with internal and external managers to identify goals and metrics and integrate those metrics into the content development process.
  • Curate and upload new content pieces to relevant platforms
  • Skilled in Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
  • Monitor and analyze online media and other relevant digital communications channels.
  • Employ a variety of research techniques to understand and analyze online data and provide insight about relevant online conversations and voices in those conversations
