As Regional Strategy Director, Charlie works across a number of key B2B clients within the region as an integrated strategist. Charlie is also responsible for the Social@Ogilvy B2B community, driving thought-leadership around the world. His responsibilities include overseeing social for IBM Growth Market Unit, which consists of over 140 countries around the world.
Charlie originally joined Ogilvy Melbourne in 2009 to work on their key client Myer, Australia's largest department store, supporting in the development of their digital presence, which involved enhancing their e-commerce offering to integrating social into the running of their business. During his time in Melbourne he also work on Penfolds, Honda and BMW.
Charlie then relocated to Ogilvy Beijing, where he provided digital strategic guidance and thought-leadership to brands Volkswagen and Nestlé on a day-to-day basis. He also worked on consulting projects, such as developing British Airways social media strategy to help them enter China's digital landscape, Intercontinental Hotel Groups mobile strategy and more.
