Wednesday Word: The Social Olympics

The Olympic Torch is making its final journey through London prior to the opening ceremony of the 2012 Summer Olympic Games this coming Friday (July 27, 2012).

There is a lot of anticipation of the upcoming games, which may well be the most closely scrutinised in history, driven mostly by the earned media generated by fans, brands and the athletes themselves.

The Wednesday Word team discuss how the International Olympic Committee (IOC) is handling that pressure, and what some of the outcomes may be, in what has already been dubbed the “social” Games.
